Permissions & privacy

What Network can see, and why

Discord treats two kinds of access as privileged intents. Network uses each one only for the plugins listed here, and a plugin only runs in servers where an admin has turned it on. Features that need an intent only run while Discord grants it to Network; the dashboard shows admins which features depend on it.

Server Members

Privileged intent

Tells the bot when members join or leave the server, and when their roles, nickname or membership-screening status change.

Outside the plugins, join and leave events also keep the member count on a server's Discord.Network listing current between regular refreshes. Network never requests a server's full member list.

Message Content

Privileged intent

Lets the bot read the text, embeds and attachments of messages in channels it can see.

  • Auto-Moderator · whole plugin

    Reads new and edited messages to check them against the filters the server has turned on.

  • Custom Commands · some features

    Reads messages that start with the server's prefix, to run commands like !rules. The /c slash command works without it.

  • Server Logs · some features

    On Network Pro, shows what a message said before it was edited or deleted.

  • Tickets · some features

    On Network Pro, includes message text in the optional transcript posted when a ticket closes.

  • Starboard · some features

    Copies a starred message's text and images into the starboard post.

Leveling awards XP for sending messages but never reads what they say.

These plugins work without either intent: Directory, Moderation, Leveling, Role Panels, Timed Messages, Social Alerts, and Giveaways. Network never requests the Presence intent, so it can't see anyone's online status or activity.

  • Message text isn't saved

    Network reads message text as it arrives and only posts it back into the server's own channels: the log, starboard and ticket-log channels its admins chose. Our database keeps settings, Discord IDs and feature records such as XP, moderation cases and giveaway entries, not the messages themselves.

  • Admins choose what runs

    Only the server owner and people with the Manage Server permission can turn plugins on or off. Members who don't want a feature to apply to them can ask the server's admins, or contact us.

  • Removal and deletion

    Turning a plugin off keeps its settings so you can pick up where you left off. Remove the bot and the server's settings and records are deleted after 30 days, unless you add it back. Email us to have a server's data, or your own, deleted sooner.

  • Not sold, not used for AI

    We don't sell what the bot receives, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Is Network Pro billed per server?

Yes. Network Pro is $9.99 a month for one server. Each server you upgrade has its own subscription, managed from that server's dashboard, so you only pay for the servers that need Pro.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Open Manage billing in the server's dashboard and cancel. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.

What happens to my settings if I cancel?

They're kept. The server goes back to the Free plan: Pro-only features pause and anything over the Free limits (for example custom commands beyond the first 10) stops running until you upgrade again. Nothing is deleted.

Does the bot need Administrator?

No. Network asks only for the permissions its plugins use, such as Manage Roles for role panels and Timeout Members for moderation. You can review every permission on Discord's install screen.

Who can configure the bot?

The server owner and anyone with the Manage Server permission. Sign in with Discord, pick the server, and turn plugins on from the dashboard.

How is payment handled?

Checkout and billing run on Stripe; we never see your full card details. Any applicable tax or VAT is calculated at checkout.
